Rhian Brewster scored twice as Liverpool U18s beat Crewe Alexandra 3-0 in a friendly encounter at the Kirkby Academy on Wednesday afternoon.

George Johnston opened the scoring with a header from a well-worked set-piece, before Brewster netted with two superb finishes.

Reflecting on the win, U18s boss Neil Critchley told Liverpoolfc.com: "The boys needed the game because we haven't played for 10 days.

"It was a good workout for us and we scored three excellent goals.

"As always, we can play better and we will now look forward to the trip to Wolves with the chance for the boys to play at their first-team stadium Molineux next Tuesday night."
