Inter Milan striker Gabigol cold be set for a loan move away from the San Siro in January.

He has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, with Arsenal and Spanish side Las Palmas also mentioned as potential suitors.

Gabigol joined Inter in a big-money summer deal but has barely featured for the Serie A side and his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, says a temporary switch in January is on the cards.

“In Italy, coaches prefer older, more mature players," Ribeiro told ESPN Brazil. “I thought they could give Gabriel a chance, but nothing of the sort has happened.

“Obviously, he’s now going through a natural maturing process. He grew up in a different culture, football here is faster, but he thought he was coming to Italy to play”.

Ribeiro appeared to play down the chances of his client moving to the Premier League, though, suggesting a loan spell at a "smaller Italian or Spanish team" is more likely.
