Liverpool close to deal for Italy international
Liverpool are believed to be close to signing Andrea Ranocchia after the Reds placed a bid of around £6.5m for the defender, according to reports in Italy.
Jurgen Klopp admitted earlier this week that he’s in the market for a defender with Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel currently sidelined.
Reports emerged last night that Ranocchia, 27, had verbally agreed to join the Reds from Serie A giants Inter Milan.
And now Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim, via Sport Witness, that a deal is close after Klopp’s side submitted a bid of around £6.5m for the 20-capped Italy international.
