The Red Neighbours team welcomed 50 local pensioners to Anfield this week to enjoy a Christmas-themed version of their monthly social event.

Guests were treated to a festive buffet and entertainment from crooner Kelvin Nichols, followed by bingo and a Christmas raffle in the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand’s Reds Lounge.

Forbes Duff, senior manager, Red Neighbours, said: “It’s always a pleasure to welcome Monday Club guests to Anfield and I hope they all had a great time at our annual Christmas event.

“The Monday Club provides a relaxed, fun social gathering for local pensioners from the L4, L5 and L6 postcodes.

“The monthly events help to reduce social isolation, which we know is prevalent amongst this age group in Anfield and the surrounding areas.”
