Fiorentina have made a surprise offer for Roma star Juan Iturbe, who is also attracting interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.

The 22-year-old Argentine, who has been labelled the 'new Lionel Messi' by many footballing insiders, is considered as a prodigious talent in Europe but did struggle to impress during his debut season for Roma.

Iturbe, who also previously enjoyed spells at Verona, River Plate and Porto, has, according to the Il Corriere dello Sport, been the subject of a £10m offer from La Viola.

It is thought Roma will reject the initial bid from their divisional rivals but Iturbe's future is reportedly up in the air.

Liverpool and the Gunners have both watched the one-time Paraguay international in action and have reportedly seen enough to want to make their interest concrete.

Iturbe is contracted with the Rome-based club until 2019 but his representatives are keen to ignite a move elsewhere after a stalemate in talks with Rudi Garcia over his playing chances at the Stadio Olimpico.
