Downing squad number confirmed
Liverpool have confirmed Stewart Downing has been handed the No.19 jersey.
The England winger, who last week put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Reds, becomes the first player to hold the number at Anfield since Ryan Babel's departure from the club in January.
Prior to Babel, Fernando Morientes was the occupant of the No.19 shirt.
