It was revealed earlier this season Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are holding a light-hearted assist competition between them this season – so how did last night’s 5-0 win over Watford impact their tallies so far?

Alexander-Arnold marked his first league start since January 12 by notching a hat-trick of tee-ups for his teammates, creating Sadio Mane’s two early strikes and Virgil van Dijk’s first header of the evening.

In doing so, he became the youngest player in Premier League history (at 20 years and 143 days) to complete a treble of assists in a single game.

Robertson, meanwhile, got in on the act by supplying the pass for Divock Origi to cut in from the left and drill home, as well as the delivery for Van Dijk’s second.

Our stats suggest the Scot is still leading the way in the goals created competition, with 10 now to his name for the season to date.

Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold is now up to six assists for the campaign so far. Mohamed Salah sits between the pair on eight.
