LFC Foundation Football College and SALT Education will host a special dinner with John Aldridge and John Barnes next month to raise funds for their annual Dallas Cup trip and a range of charities.

The dinner at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Liverpool on Saturday November 8, will fundraise for the Hillsborough Family Support Group, Liverpool FC Foundation and Merseyside County Schools' Football Association.

Liverpool's matchday announcer, Peter McDowall, will be on hand to interview Barnes and Aldridge about their football careers and memories of the game as they recall treasured moments from their time at the club.

Funds raised on the night will also be put towards the college's trip to the prestigious Dallas Cup competition. Each year, around 35 students travel under the college banner to compete at the event, which is one of the biggest youth football tournaments in the world.

The tour not only hands its young participants the opportunity to compete at a high standard, but provides life-changing experiences for the Liverpool lads, who are placed with American families during their stay.

SALT Education, which operates in partnership with Liverpool FC Foundation Football College, works with adults, children and young people, giving them the motivation, self-confidence and skills they need to change their lives through a range of academic programmes.

The Foundation Football College has 120 students enrolled and is open to boys and girls between the ages of 16 and 19. It provides football and coaching training alongside a suite of academic qualifications, including BTEC Level 2 and 3 in Sport as well as GCSE Mathematics and English.

Tickets for November's dinner with Barnes and Aldo are priced at £65 per person or £85 for a VIP meet-and-greet. A table for 10 guests is available to purchase for £650.
