Liverpool have been drawn alongside Rubin Kazan, Bordeaux and FC Sion in Group B of the Europa League.

The draw for the group stage of the tournament was conducted in Monaco on Friday afternoon and paired Brendan Rodgers’ side with the outfits from Russia, France and Switzerland respectively.

The Reds have never previously met Rubin but faced Bordeaux twice in the Champions League nine years ago, winning home and away without conceding.

They have also taken on Sion twice before, claiming a 6-3 result at Anfield and a 2-1 victory on the road in October 1996.

The group matches begin on September 17, with further fixtures on October 1, October 22, November 5, November 26 and December 10.
