Aly Cissokho named on the bench
Brendan Rodgers has named an unchanged team for Liverpool's Barclays Premier League clash at Aston Villa on Saturday evening, with new signing Aly Cissokho included among the substitutes.
After the Reds kicked off their 2013-14 campaign with a deserved 1-0 victory over Stoke City last weekend, the Northern Irishman has kept faith with exactly the same starting XI for today's Villa Park encounter.
Indeed the only change in Rodgers' 18-man squad is the selection of French defender Cissokho on the bench. He replaces youngster Jordon Ibe in the group available for use against Villa.
The Reds team in full is: Mignolet, Enrique, Agger, Toure, Johnson, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Aspas, Coutinho, Sturridge.
Substitutes: Jones, Alberto, Cissokho, Allen, Borini, Sterling, Wisdom.
