Shanice van de Sanden returned to Liverpool FC Women for a second spell with the club in the summer of 2022.
The Netherlands international winger linked up with Matt Beard’s team ahead of their Barclays Women’s Super League campaign, having previously represented the Reds in 2016 and 2017.
In the interim, Van de Sanden won three UEFA Women’s Champions Leagues, three French titles and two French cups with Lyon and later represented VfL Wolfsburg.
Closing in on 100 caps for her country, she takes the No.19 shirt on her return to Merseyside.
“We’re both really excited to work together but also excited to bring her back. She’s coming back home basically,” said Beard.
“The fans will know she’s an exciting winger, she can get at people, she’s quick. The way we play, I think she’s going to fit right in.
“It’s another experienced player, another player who’s played at the top, top level and we have ambitions to do well in this division.”
