Liverpool FC Women announced the return of defender Jasmine Matthews to the club for a second spell in June 2021.
She had spent the previous two seasons with Bristol City Women in the Women’s Super League.
Matthews actually came through the youth system at Bristol City where she made her senior debut in 2011, and in 2013 she was part of the team which finished runners-up in the WSL and the FA Women’s Cup.
A defender who can also play in midfield, her previous spell with the Reds was in the summer of 2018.
Commenting on her move back to Merseyside, Matthews told Liverpoolfc.com: "I’m delighted to be back. When I knew Matt Beard was coming to Liverpool it was always on the radar to come back.
“I loved playing in front of the fans here, they build up a great atmosphere and I had a great relationship with the girls.
“Working with Matt at Bristol, he really got the best out of me so when we had a conversation it was always going to be a no-brainer.”
