Rylee Foster bolstered the Liverpool FC Women goalkeeping ranks when she joined the club in January 2020.

The Canadian had previously spent four years with West Virginia University, where she registered 39 clean sheets in 84 appearances.

"It's been a dream for me to play for Liverpool since I was a young kid," said the stopper, whose grandparents are from Wavertree.

"To be able to start my professional career and be in Liverpool – this was the ultimate goal for me – so to be able to start here is amazing. I'm going to come in, work hard and do everything I can to help out."

Foster made her Reds debut in a Continental League Cup win over Manchester United in October 2020 and signed a new long-term contract in March 2021.

She made six appearances in total during her first full season with the club and then three more, deputising for Rachael Laws, at the outset of 2021-22.

Rylee was involved in a car accident in October 2021, in which she suffered serious neck injuries, and is currently in rehabilitation.
