Bayern Munich have told Liverpool it will cost them £20million to land Mario Gotze this summer, according to reports in Germany.

The German star, who scored the winning goal in the World Cup final two years ago, is expected to be on the move soon after falling down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena.

Liverpool are keen on a deal for the attacking midfielder, with Jurgen Klopp a big fan of the player from his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern are ready to sell and, according to Bild, they have now set an asking price of £20m for Gotze.

Selling for that amount would cause the German champions to make a loss on the 23-year-old, who they purchased for £32m in 2013 from Dortmund.
