Liverpool have joined Sunderland in the race to sign highly-rated Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan, according to reports.

Adan, a product of the Real Madrid academy, has been turning heads in La Liga this season with his performances for Betis.

And according to Spanish newspaper AS Diario the Reds are showing interest in the goalkeeper.

Adan is under contract with Betis until June 2019, but is understood to have an attractive buy-out clause of just £6million.

However, Liverpool may face competition from Premier League rivals Sunderland, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

It's said Sam Allardyce is keeping tabs on the 28-year-old after Costel Pantilimon joined Watford on a free transfer in January.
