Liverpool will set a new club record if they beat Crystal Palace in Saturday's Premier League encounter at Anfield.

Victory would give Jürgen Klopp's league leaders a haul of 60 points from 23 games - topping the Reds' previous best tally of 59, set at the same stage of the 1893-94 and 1987-88 campaigns.

And should Liverpool net twice, they will also hit the milestone of 1,000 goals scored at Anfield in the Premier League era.

In 19 Premier League clashes with the Eagles, there have been 65 goals scored at an average of 3.42 per game.

There has only been one goalless draw at Anfield in 18 top-flight meetings with Palace - that came in December 1994.

The Reds have won the last three meetings with Palace home and away, but have never won four on the bounce.

The last visiting team to win at Anfield in the league was Palace, back in April 2017.

Since that defeat, Liverpool have gone 31 top-flight games unbeaten at home, winning 22 and drawing nine - their joint-third longest run in history.

Sadio Mane has scored in each of the last three league encounters with the Eagles. No Liverpool player had previously ever achieved that feat.

Andy Robertson made his Reds debut in this fixture last season.

Liverpool's biggest ever top-flight win came against Palace in September 1989, when Kenny Dalglish's side won 9-0. They set a league record when eight different men found the net that evening.
