James Milner could play his 50th Premier League game for Liverpool. He is also one goal short of recording his half-century in the top flight.

The Reds are looking to record their first Premier League double over Hull following their 5-1 win at Anfield back in September.

Liverpool's last visit to Humberside saw them lose 1-0 in April 2015, but that defeat is one of only two they have suffered in 21 meetings between the clubs in all competitions.

In those 21 games, the Reds have beaten Hull 14 times.

Liverpool’s last victory on this ground came in April 2009, when they won 3-1. Dirk Kuyt (two) and Xabi Alonso found the net for the visitors.

A win today would see the Reds be 15 points better off than after 24 games of last season.

Only twice since 1990 have Liverpool accumulated more points at this stage of a campaign than the 46 they currently have (in 1990-91 and 2008-09).

Milner has scored five times against Hull during his career, including two penalties at Anfield earlier this season.

Adam Lallana netted for Southampton against the Tigers in the Championship in 2011-12, and again for the Saints in the Premier League two years later.
