A chance meeting with Jürgen Klopp would be special for any Liverpool fan - and the same goes even if you're the current Masters champion.

Danny Willett, the Englishman who shocked the world of golf by claiming what is arguably the sport's most prestigious major championship back in April, had one such stroke of luck earlier this week.

After arriving in Munich on his way to compete in the BMW International Open, Willett bumped into Klopp and had the opportunity to chat football with the Reds boss.

The Sheffield-born golf star also grabbed a quick picture with his idol before the pair went their separate ways.

Reflecting on the encounter, Willett enthused: "That was nice. We landed at the airport and Jürgen was about to fly out on holiday with his family after a fairly busy season.

"It was just great to meet him. I’ve been to Anfield a couple of times this season so it was pretty cool to meet him.

"We didn’t talk much about golf to be honest. It was mostly football.

"He’s a pretty inspirational character and is obviously hugely popular here in Germany."
