Liverpool will take on Sevilla in the Europa League final on May 18 after the Spaniards reached the competition's showpiece fixture for a third consecutive year.

Unai Emery's team led their semi-final tie with Shakhtar Donetsk on away goals after a 2-2 draw in Ukraine last week.

And they completed the job in style at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan as they ran out 3-1 winners thanks to a Kevin Gameiro brace and a further strike from Mariano.

The Reds have never before met Sevilla in European competition, while both teams will be hoping to protect an unbeaten record in Europa League/UEFA Cup finals.

Liverpool have won all three of their trips to the decisive fixture of this tournament, while the Andalusians - who have won the competition more than any other team - have emerged victorious from four finals.
