Fowler captains strong Legends team
Robbie Fowler captains a Liverpool Legends team containing four Champions League winners against Manchester United in Stockholm this evening.
The former Reds No.9 is joined by Luis Garcia, Vladimir Smicer, Jerzy Dudek and Didi Hamann in the starting XI to take on the Red Devils at the Friends Arena.
Manager Ian Rush has opted to go with a 3-5-2 formation for the Legends' latest outing, with Dudek protected by a back three of Stephane Henchoz, Bjorn Tore Kvarme and debutant Phil Babb.
Ahead of them, Jason McAteer and Steve Harkness feature at wing-back, while Hamann, Patrik Berger and Garcia form a versatile midfield trio.
That leaves Smicer to take up the unfamiliar role of centre-forward alongside Fowler, who will wear the skipper's armband.
