The Reds are unbeaten in the last 42 home league games against West Ham at Anfield. In that time they have won 31 and drawn 11, conceding just 16 goals.

Liverpool have scored 35 goals in the last 15 Barclays Premier League meetings between the teams at Anfield. Overall, 98 goals have been scored in Premier League clashes between the sides – and the Reds have bagged 67 of them.

Fernando Torres in March 2008, is the only Liverpool player to fire a league hat-trick against West Ham at Anfield. Roger Hunt (1965), John Toshack (1976) and Michael Robinson in 1983 have achieved the feat at Upton Park.

A clean sheet will see Liverpool equal a club record by keeping four in a row from the start of a league campaign. The other occurrence was in 2005-06. The last time the Reds kept four shut-outs in succession was in 2011; however, they did keep four on the bounce in the Premier League earlier this year (January - February).

If they beat the Hammers today, they will equal their Premier League best start to a season (achieved five times before) by taking 10 points from their opening four games.

The Londoners have picked up five points from a possible 57 at Anfield in the Premier League – that's five draws and 14 defeats.

West Ham’s last win at Anfield came in September 1963 with Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters scoring in a 2-1 win.

They are looking to win their opening two away league games of a top-flight season for the first time since 2007-08 following their 2-0 win at Arsenal on the opening weekend. Since that game, the Hammers have lost both home matches against Leicester (1-2) and Bournemouth (3-4).

The Londoners’ season began on July 2 when they played a Europa League qualifying game at home to Lusitanos. They were eliminated from the competition a month later by Astra Giurgiu of Romania after facing opposition from Andorra and Malta.

Slaven Bilic was in charge of the Besiktas team that knocked Liverpool out of the Europa League last season on penalties in Istanbul after the teams had each won their home game 1-0.

Five Hammers have been sent off in their opening nine games of this campaign with Adrian (against Leicester) and Carl Jenkinson (versus Bournemouth) seeing red in the last two games.
