Lifelong Kopite and former Altrincham FC captain Mark Maddox reacted to being diagnosed with the terminal illness by fundraising across the country.
In conjunction with the MND Association, he headed up the 'Football v MND' campaign - which received support from more than 200 clubs, including the Reds.
