Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has collected a double honour from the Barclays Premier League, adding the Player of the Season award to his Golden Boot prize as top scorer.

The Uruguayan was a tour de force in the division throughout 2013-14, leading the scoring charts with 31 strikes and providing a further 12 assists for a teammate - second only to Steven Gerrard.

His displays were a primary catalyst in the Reds' surge to second place in the Premier League, as Brendan Rodgers' side pushed the title race with Manchester City to the final day of the campaign.

These latest accolades add to the No.7's growing individual collection from recent weeks, after he was named PFA Players' Player of the Year and scooped the Football Writers' Association's award.

At the club's inaugural Players' Awards Dinner last Tuesday, Suarez was recognised in three categories - Players' Player of the Year, the fans' equivalent and Goal of the Season.
