Skrtel: It was simply great for us
Martin Skrtel reflected on Liverpool's Merseyside derby demolition of Everton and declared: 'It was simply great.'
The Slovakian turned in a commanding display at the heart of the defence as the Reds ran out 4-0 winners at Anfield to bolster their push for a top-four finish.
"It was simply a great a match for us," Skrtel told his official website.
"It is always special to play against Everton and it is even more special to play against them in front of our great fans, so it was a night to remember because everyone did their best.
"Actually I think we could have scored more and it could have been even better. But we are definitely satisfied. It is a great result."
