Liverpool FC's determination to cut through the language barrier when it comes to engaging with supporters all over the world was bolstered today with the release of the club's first Russian-language LFC TV show.

The Reds have made great strides during the past 12 months in terms of increasing the amount of local-language content delivered to supporters for whom English is not a first language, and today's announcement is another first for the club.

In recent months, LFC TV International - the club's global media operation - has broadcast special editions of its shows in Thai, Indonesian and Spanish, with further programmes being made overseas with LFC TV's new American and Australian presenters.

Today's announcement, however, marks the first time LFC TV International has broadcast in Russian - with new presenter Diana Gabdullina counting down the 10 greatest Spanish and South American players to have pulled on the famous Red shirt.

The release of the new Russian TV show - available to watch online for free - follows the resounding success enjoyed by the launch of an official club presence on Russia's VK platform, the most popular social media platform amongst Russian-speaking internet users.

Liverpool FC became the first English club to establish an official account on VK in August 2013 - allowing the Reds to communicate and engage with Russian-speaking supporters on a daily basis - and remain the only Barclays Premier League team with a verified account on the platform which boasts over 210million users.
