This week's official Members' ticket sale for the second half of the Barclays Premier League home fixtures has sold out in record time.

There were over 80,000 tickets available across the nine home games on sale and by Wednesday evening all were snapped up by eager Reds' fans.

The sale peaked on Tuesday morning with over 30,000 tickets sold in just one hour.

The club used its established sales channels to make the process run as smoothly as possible, which included an online system and dedicated telephone numbers to the ticket office.

As with any ticket sale where demand outstrips supply, inevitably some supporters will have been disappointed not to have obtained the tickets they wanted. A small number of supporters also timed-out using the online system by going beyond the 30 minute cut-off period which is used by most modern high-volume ticket sales systems to avoid blockages.

Despite the large volume of supporters trying to purchase tickets at the same time, the online system successfully stood up to the demand and 90 per cent of tickets were sold online which is more than any other official Members' ticket sale.

We would like to thank all fans for their continued support.
