Sturridge: It's a beautiful thing
Daniel Sturridge is relishing being one half of the Barclays Premier League's most exciting strike-force as his partnership with Luis Suarez flourishes.
The duo, who have netted a combined 16 goals for Liverpool while being on the pitch together, were once again in deadly form during the 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace last time out.
Suarez, who has scored or assisted 19 goals in his last 19 Premier League appearances, showed incredible persistence to open the scoring under pressure, and after slipping.
Sturridge then added the second with a sublime solo effort, with the pair's understanding evident throughout the encounter, following their brilliant showing against Sunderland.
Sturridge is delighted to have Suarez as his partner in goalscoring crime and believes their combination has benefited them both.
"It's a beautiful thing to have the relationship on the field with him," the 24-year-old told KICK OFF Magazine.
"We have a good understanding, have assisted each other on different occasions and it's a great feeling. We help each other and improve each other and we also get along off the field."
While the Premier League's current top goalscorer for the season has supporters 'doing the Sturridge', is there any chance of Suarez joining in the famous dance celebration?
"I don't know if he's got the rhythm for that yet," Sturridge said jokingly. "But what I will say is he is definitely someone I could try to teach. Whether he takes it on board or not, is a different story."
Suarez wouldn't be the first player to follow the forward's fancy footwork as Jamie Carragher mimicked the moves during Liverpool's 3-1 defeat of Fulham last season.
"I think Carra tried it maybe because his son put a lot of pressure on him," explained Sturridge.
"I like Carra's son a lot, he's a good kid and I used to have a bit of banter with him when he'd come around here so I think he forced his daddy to do it.
"I would love the guys to get involved, but so far, only Carra has been brave enough."
In nine Premier League starts together, Suarez and Sturridge have scored 12 goals, leading supporters to call the duo 'SAS' (Sturridge and Suarez).

Already being hailed as one of the deadliest link-ups across the top European leagues, Sturridge is just happy that he and the Uruguayan are combining so well to contribute to the club's cause.
He has maintained that their partnership wouldn't be as successful if it wasn't for the players behind them.
"At the end of the day, it's just important that we're doing the business for the team," Sturridge said.
"And we wouldn't be able to do it if it wasn't for everyone behind us. Victor [Moses], Jordan [Henderson] and Coutinho when he returns and everyone behind them have been fantastic.
"Stevie is world-class and so is Lucas, the defenders have been superb and the goalkeeper has really shown he's going to be key for us this season. We need to all continue doing our best for the club."
