Victor Moses is relishing the prospect of walking out onto the famous Anfield turf for the second time as a Liverpool player - and the striker stressed the importance of picking up all three points against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

Moses was powerless to prevent the Reds from slipping to a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Southampton two weeks ago during their last outing in L4.

However, he was also part of the three-pronged attack that helped Brendan Rodgers' side get back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory against Sunderland on Sunday.

The Nigerian international is determined to chalk up his first win in front of the Kop - and insisted there can be no slip ups against Ian Holloway's newly promoted outfit.

"Every game is important for us this season," Moses told Liverpoolfc.com. "In the Southampton game, we slipped up a little bit, but we just need to pick ourselves back up.

"We need to try and get the victory on Saturday, because if you look at the league, we've been doing well.

"I think we've got enough quality players to win games for us. The home form is very important and the fans are too. Everyone has been incredible.

"It's incredible to play at Anfield. It's a great pitch and the atmosphere is great and that's where you love to play football and I'm enjoying it."

Moses began his professional career at Palace after he was picked out by scouts while playing in a local league in London and invited to join their youth set-up.

The youngster grew up streets away from Selhurst Park - and at the Eagles' highly-respected academy, the gifted attacker was a revelation.

"Palace is a great club and I really enjoyed my time there," said Moses. "Everyone looked after me there and I enjoyed it there right from a young age.

"Now I've moved on and that's football. In football, you don't tend to stay in the one place. But Palace is a great side. I started my football career there. Now I'm at Liverpool and playing against them on Saturday is going to be great.

"I'm concentrating on Liverpool and looking forward to getting the win on Saturday."
