Supplementary information for LFC Women supporters

As Liverpool Women’s FC welcome supporters back to Prenton Park on Sunday (Dec 6) for the match against Crystal Palace, it is important for everyone to be aware of the match details.

Here are a few FAQ points of additional information:

Travel – what are the travel details for the game?

All supporters should make their own decision that they can safely attend the match while keeping within the current Government guidelines.

While free car parking is available at the Prenton Park car park, this could be busier than usual as more fans decide to drive to the game. Supporters who are not able to park at Prenton Park should conform with any local parking restrictions in place in the areas around the Stadium.

It is currently recommended that public transport should only be used for essential journeys. Prenton Park is accessible by Merseyrail (plus a walk) and bus. Current guidelines for public transport use can be accessed from Merseytravel at https://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/customer-information/rethink-travel/

We would encourage supporters to walk or cycle to the ground.

Who can buy a ticket?

All supporters who live within the Liverpool City Region (Merseyside plus Halton) can buy tickets. Supporters from further afield are unable to attend in order to conform with current health guidance on travel and the Tier structuring system.

Are there spaces available for wheelchair users?

Yes, you can secure a wheelchair user ticket using the normal link for tickets. Just choose a concession ticket and the option of a wheelchair space will then be available.

Why do I need to fill in a health questionnaire before being able to buy a ticket?

We are committed to allowing all supporters and staff to see the game in the safest possible way. The health questions will ensure that people entering the stadium are of the lowest possible risk to other fans.

How many tickets can I buy?

You can buy tickets for anyone who is part of your support bubble but no one else. Photographic ID will be required to access the stadium and tickets must not be transferred to anyone else.

Will I get a paper ticket?

No, your ticket will be in digital form which will be checked on your smart mobile phone to access the stadium.

Will temperature checks be in place?

Yes, all supporters will have their temperature checked before entering the stadium.

Will hand sanitiser be available?

Yes, hand sanitiser stations will be in place both inside and outside the stadium.

Can I turn up and buy a ticket on the day?

No. All tickets must be bought in advance to ensure the mandatory health screening process is completed

Will the seating be socially distanced?

Yes, your ticket will be for a specific seat and adjacent to those you bought tickets for. Where feasible seats for you and those in your bubble may be grouped together. You will be spaced at a suitable distance from supporters not in your social bubble and stewards will be on hand to help supporters find their appropriate seat.

Will I need to wear a mask in the stadium?

Yes, the wearing of masks will be mandatory inside the stadium for anyone aged 11 and upwards unless you are exempt. Anyone who is exempt should download the details from the government website here.

Will food and drink be available at the stadium?

No, concessions will not be open inside the stadium to reduce the possibility of crowds on the concourses and the spread of the virus.

Can I bring a bag into the ground?

It is advised for supporters not to bring bags as it may delay your entry into the stadium and there are no bag storage facilities. However if you do need to bring one it should be transparent and A4 sized or smaller.

I am an LFC staff member.  Am I still entitled to a free ticket?

You will be provided via AllStaff with a Promo Code, that can be used to purchase a ticket through the system for you and your household/social bubble. We look forward to seeing you there.

Will the players still pose for pictures and autographs at the end of the game?

The players will be very keen to recognise the supporters having missed them for so many months. But they are unable to pose for pictures right now in order to comply with social distancing.
