We have worked together with Merseytravel and local transport operators to help make matchday travel more convenient for you, public transport is the easiest and most efficient way to reach the game.
Whether you live locally or are travelling from the outside Liverpool City Region, we recommend that you plan your route in advance and arrive for your designated entry time.

By Bus and Soccerbus
Bus is fast frequent and convenient with 'express' services that will get you to and from Anfield and Liverpool City Centre in around 15mins.
The 917 is operating from Commutation Row in the City Centre. Prices from £2.20 for single journey, £4.40 for a return journey or £12 return ticket for groups of four are available. U19’s can travel for just £1. You can find out more by clicking here.
Other services are available...
From Liverpool City Centre, take the 26 from Liverpool ONE bus station, 17 from Queen Square Bus Station or the 917 from St Johns Lane, directly to the ground. The 68/168, which operates between Bootle and Aigburth, and the 14 and 19 (from Queen Square) stop a short walk away from the ground.
The Soccerbus runs from Sandhills Station, on the Merseyrail Northern Line, to Anfield for all Premier League and cup matches. The Soccerbus runs two hours before each match (last bus from Sandhills Station is approximately 15 minutes before kick-off). You can find out more by clicking here.

If you're travelling from outside the Liverpool area...
Lime Street Railway Station is Liverpool's mainline station for regional and national journeys. It is two miles from Anfield.
Four and half hours before kick-off we'll have a dedicated matchday team based in the station to help direct you to the most convenient transport services, including buses that will take you directly to the ground.
Taxis are also available from Lime Street.
TransPennine Express has direct services into Lime Street from Scarborough and Newcastle calling at stations from across the north of England including Manchester, York, Leeds, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Durham, Darlington, Warrington Central and Liverpool South Parkway. If you're travelling within the Liverpool area...
Merseyrail operates regular services across 67 stations throughout Merseyside. Passengers can get regular services in to Liverpool from Ellesmere Port, Chester, West Kirby and New Brighton on the Wirral Line and Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby and Hunts Cross on the Northern Line. Take advantage of park and ride. A number of Merseyrail stations have car parks. You can find them here.
Passengers travelling to matches can use either the Soccerbus from Sandhills station for just £1.60 for adults and 80p for kids or enjoy a walk or cycle from Kirkdale station. Merseyrail trains run between Sandhills and Moorfields/Liverpool Central every 4 – 7 minutes throughout the day, so it’s easy to catch your connecting train.
Passengers living in South Liverpool can get the Southport to Hunts Cross service which calls at Brunswick, St Michael's, Aigburth, Cressington, Liverpool South parkway and Hunts Cross. Those using Soccerbus can get a Southport/Hunts Cross train to and from Sandhills. Passengers travelling to or from Kirkdale will need to change at Moorfields. Services run on this line every 15 minutes throughout the day and evening Mondays to Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sundays.
Many mainline rail services call at Liverpool South Parkway. If you get off here you can connect on to Merseyrail's Northern Line which will take you to Sandhills station. From here you can either pick up the Soccerbus to Anfield (you can find out more here) or walk to the ground in less than 30 minutes. Walking routes are signposted.
Please note some services may be reduced due to Covid-19 restrictions so please plan your journey in advance.
Taxis from the city centre to Anfield usually cost between £7-£9. To view the available taxi pick up points please refer to the map above.
Taxi One operates a taxibus service from Commutation Row, Liverpool city centre direct to Anfield. A frequent service operates from 3.5 hours prior to kick off.
The Cycle Hub is a FREE service that allows fans who cycle to the game to drop-off and park their bike safely and securely with an attendant. The Cycle Hub is situated in Stanley Park Car Park, a few minutes’ walk from the Anfield Road end of the Stadium. Simply ride to the Cycle Hub, where staff will register and secure your bike. You will be given a receipt which must be presented on collection. Cycle Hub can provide locks but you can use your own if you wish.
Why not combine the train and cycling? Merseyrail allows cycles. Get the train to nearby Sandhills and Kirkdale Stations and take advantage of the Cycle Hub in Stanley Park Car Park.
Both Sandhills and Kirkdale stations on Merseyrail's Northern line are less than a 30 minute walk from Anfield. We advise fans to stick to the recommended walking routes these are clearly signposted and are popular ways to reach the stadium.

Car parking will be available in Stanley Park and Utting Avenue car parks at no charge.
Car park passes must be pre-booked and will be available when you book your match ticket. Spaces are limited, and available on a first come, first served basis.
