Supporters Code of Conduct

To ensure that Anfield is a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone we have developed a set of shared principles which we need supporters to adhere to; these are also known as a ‘Code of Conduct’. Some of the principles will be familiar to you as part of society’s ‘new normal’, others will be specific to football stadia, but they all have the same aim - to create a framework that acts in the best interests of those who attend matches.

We have also implemented strict measures to keep you safe during your visit - for more information click here.

If you are required to self-isolate or quarantine under government guidelines, or show any symptoms of COVID-19, you must not attend the match. Further guidelines can be found on the UK Government’s website.

By following Government and public health guidance you are playing your part to keep your friends, family, fellow fans, and the local community safe.

If you are attending the game with any other members of your household or support bubble, please make sure that they have read and understood all the principles.

Please help us and fellow fans by supporting us safely.

Our commitment to you

We are committed to providing an environment that remains safe, secure, and welcoming as fans return to the stadium and have united with sports clubs and venues around the country in support of the ‘For the Love of Sport’ - a new campaign launched to promote the safe return of fans to live events.

The campaign, developed by the Sports Technology & Innovation Group, will promote the best ways for fans to attend sporting events safely and sets out how stadiums like Anfield have prepared for the safe return of supporters.  This is recognised with the ‘We’re Fan Ready’ mark of the protocols and guidance put in place by the Sports Grounds Safety Authority and the UK Government.

We have worked with local authorities and other key stakeholders to develop venue operation plans and COVID-19 stadium risk assessments, minimising both the risk to public health and reliance on local health and other emergency services.

We will ensure all attendees take appropriate precautions to keep everyone as safe as possible including the recommendation of wearing face coverings for both supporters and staff, as well as enhanced health, safety, and cleaning measures across the Stadium. These protocols are to ensure that the season continues with the least risk possible, without adding any further strain on the NHS and other public services.

All our matchday staff have also received appropriate training in relation to COVID-19 and its associated risks.
