Liverpool have made a move for Benfica midfielder Talisca, according to reports in Portugal.

The Brazilian is reportedly the subject of a £21m bid from the Merseysiders after catching the eye of club scouts.

Talisca joined Benfica from Bahia in 2014 and made an immediate impression, scoring nine goals in 20 league starts for the Portuguese giants.

He struggled to replicate that form last season but Liverpool believe they can nurture his talent under Jurgen Klopp.

According to O Jogo, Liverpool have agreed a fee with Benfica and are in advanced talks with the player, although a move to Anfield could take some time to complete due to visa applications.
