Multi-Year Loyalty
A multi-year loyalty (MYL) system has been introduced across all competitions, home and away to provide additional flexibility for supporters, reward long-term loyalty and improve ticket access. This means match credits from the previous three seasons will be used to determine a supporter’s eligibility to purchase tickets.
MYL gives supporters more flexibility by looking at loyalty built up over several seasons, not just one. As a result, attending fewer games in a particular season shouldn't have as much impact as before since eligibility credits are now calculated across a wider period.
By moving to this new system, supporters should hopefully be able to miss an occasional game without risking their future eligibility, thereby freeing up more tickets for others.
There will be a transition to MYL across most competitions to reduce any negative impact on supporters who have accrued match credits over more recent seasons. See below for full details of how the transition will work.
Every supporter will have a Credit Balance to show the total number of match credits earned for each competition, home and away, that contribute to their eligibility to buy or register for tickets. There will be a Credit Balance for:
- Premier League home
- Premier League away
- European home
- European away
- FA Cup home
- FA Cup away
- League Cup home
- League Cup away
You can read more about how you will be able to view your Credit Balance here.
For clarity, the priority credit thresholds for the All Red Ticket Sales in July and November will not change for season 2026/27 – e.g. supporters with 13 or more home credits from season 2025/26 will have guaranteed access to purchase a ticket for all 19 Premier League home games and supporters with 4-12 Premier League home credits from season 2025/26 will have priority access via a ballot to 7 of the 19 Premier League home games.
A Credit Balance will be based on a rolling total across the previous three seasons however, this won’t be the case across all competitions in season 2026/27. See the diagram and subsequent section below to see how we will transition to MYL.
Watch our video here which explains how multi-year loyalty will work.
Home Games and Premier League away games
We are transitioning to multi-year loyalty from season 2026/27 for all Premier League games - home and away, and Cup home games (European, FA Cup and League Cup). The transition will not be completed until season 2028/29. This is how we will transition:
- For season 2026/27: only credits earned for games from season 2025/26 only will be included in your Credit Balance.
- For season 2027/28: credits earned for games from seasons 2025/26 and 2026/27 will be included in your Credit Balance.
- For season 2028/29: credits earned for games from seasons 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 will be included in your Credit Balance.
- For season 2029/30: credits earned for games from seasons 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 will be included in your Credit Balance and credits earned from season 2025/26 will no longer be used to determine eligibility.
Cup away games
As credits from previous seasons are already used to determine eligibility, we’re introducing the full three ‑ year loyalty system for all Cup away games from the beginning of season 2026/27 as follows:
- For season 2026/27: credits earned for games from seasons 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26 will be included in your Credit Balance.
- For season 2027/28 onwards: each new season will replace the oldest one in your total.
Once the transition is complete, there will be a consistent approach across competitions in terms of the number of seasons that count towards a supporter’s eligibility to buy or register for tickets. Removing the inconsistencies between competitions should also help ensure a universal approach that is easier to understand.
