Match Credits

Match credits determine a supporter's eligibility to purchase tickets for men’s home and away games.

Supporters have a Credit Balance for each competition, home and away which is made up of match credits earned in previous seasons. This Credit Balance is used to determine whether a supporter is eligible to buy or register for tickets and may also determine the level of priority a support has when accessing tickets.

Supporters can have a Credit Balance for:

Premier League home
Premier League away
European home
European away
FA Cup home
FA Cup away
League Cup home
League Cup away

Match credits only count towards a supporter’s eligibility to buy or register for tickets if they are a season ticket holder or an All Red Full, Light or Junior member.

PREMIER LEAGUE HOME GAMES

For Premier League home games, a credit is earned if you buy a non-Season Ticket general admission ticket through one of the official club channels below and attend the match:

All Red members in July and November.
Additional All Red members sales (including the Ticket Exchange).
Local sales.
Young Adult area sales.

A credit will not be earned if you:

Buy a Season Ticket seat via the Ticket Exchange.
Forward your ticket to someone else.
Receive a ticket via Ticket Forwarding.
List your ticket on the Ticket Exchange.
Buy a matchday hospitality ticket.
Do not attend the match.
Are a Season Ticket holder.
Are a Seasonal Hospitality member.

For the 2026/27 season, the following thresholds determine a supporter’s eligibility to buy or register for tickets for Premier League home games:

Supporters with a Credit Balance of 13+ match credits: guaranteed access to all 19 Premier League home games during the season.
Supporters with a Credit Balance of 4 to 12 match credits: eligible to register for all 19 Premier League home games.
Supporters with a Credit Balance of less than 4 match credits: eligible to register for most Premier League home games, with the exception of Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and the last game of the season. There may be an opportunity to register for tickets for these games via the Additional Members Sales that take place closer to the game, subject to demand and availability.

EUROPEAN, FA CUP AND LEAGUE CUP HOME GAMES

For Cup home games, a credit is earned if you buy a match ticket in any club sale.

A credit will not be earned if:

You receive a ticket via Ticket Forwarding.
Are a Seasonal Hospitality member.

A supporter's Credit Balance is used to determine their eligibility to:

Enrol in the Auto-Cup Scheme for the relevant competition.
Purchase a ticket via match-by-match sales which take place once the draw has taken place.

PREMIER LEAGUE AWAY GAMES

FA CUP AND LEAGUE CUP AWAY GAMES

EUROPEAN AWAY GAMES

For European cup away games, a credit is earned if you:

Buy a match ticket and attend* the game yourself.
Buy a match ticket and forward it to a supporter on your Friends & Family List via Ticket Forwarding and that supporter attends* the game.

A credit will not be earned if:

You are eligible and successful in the hospitality ballot for the relevant game.
You receive a ticket via Ticket Forwarding.

*For most European away games, tickets are digital and we receive stadium access data from the host club. This data is used to determine if a supporter has attended the match. For the matches where we operate collections of physical tickets, the collection of a ticket will count as attendance at the match.

Multi-Year Loyalty

A supporter's Credit Balance is made up of match credits earned in previous seasons. This multi-year loyalty system is designed to reward long-term loyalty while also providing some flexibility to supporters.

We are currently transitioning to the multi-year loyalty system which was introduced ahead of the 2026/27 season. Once the multi-year loyalty system is fully implemented, match credits from the previous three seasons will contribute to a supporter's Credit Balance and be used to determine their eligibility to buy or register for tickets. However, as part of the transition to multi-year, we are gradually building up to a rolling three-year period for some competitions.

For season 2026/27, for all home games and Premier League away games, a supporter's Credit Balance is based on match credits from season 2025/26 only.
For cup away games, the past three seasons count towards a supporter's Credit Balance (seasons 2025/26, 2024/25 and 2023/24).

PREMIER LEAGUE GAMES

We are transitioning to multi-year loyalty from season 2026/27 for Premier League home and away games. The transition will not be completed until season 2028/29. This is how we will transition:

For season 2026/27: only credits earned for games from season 2025/26 only will be included in your Credit Balance.
For season 2027/28: credits earned for games from seasons 2025/26 and 2026/27 will be included in your Credit Balance.
For season 2028/29: credits earned for games from seasons 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 will be included in your Credit Balance.
For season 2029/30: credits earned for games from seasons 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 will be included in your Credit Balance and credits earned from season 2025/26 will no longer be used to determine eligibility.

EUROPEAN, FA CUP AND LEAGUE CUP HOME GAMES

We are transitioning to multi-year loyalty from season 2026/27 for cup home games (European, FA Cup and League Cup). The transition will not be completed until season 2028/29. This is how we will transition:

For season 2026/27: only credits earned for games from season 2025/26 only will be included in your Credit Balance.
For season 2027/28: credits earned for games from seasons 2025/26 and 2026/27 will be included in your Credit Balance.
For season 2028/29: credits earned for games from seasons 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 will be included in your Credit Balance.
For season 2029/30: credits earned for games from seasons 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 will be included in your Credit Balance and credits earned from season 2025/26 will no longer be used to determine eligibility.

You can view your Credit Balance in the Official LFC App.
