Is the Ticket Forwarding scheme the same for Premier League and cup competitions?

Yes, the ticket forwarding facility is in place for both home Premier League and home Cup competitions.  For season 23/24 cup credits will not be transferred or lost for home Cup games, they will stay with the supporter who purchased them.

What happens to match credits on tickets that are forwarded to other supporters?

Premier League Home Games

A season ticket holder who forwards their ticket to another supporter will not lose the match credit. The match credit will not be transferred to the supporter the ticket has been forwarded to.

A member who forwards their ticket to another supporter will lose the match credit.  The match credit will be transferred to the supporter it has been forwarded to. Click here for full details.

Home Cup Games

A season ticket holder or member who forwards their ticket to another supporter will retain the match credit. The match credit will not be transferred to the supporter the ticket has been forwarded to.

Auto Cup Scheme Tickets

A season ticket holder or member enrolled into the Auto Cup Scheme who then forwards their ticket to another supporter, will retain the match credit. The match credit will not be transferred to the supporter the ticket has been forwarded to.  

However, if your auto cup scheme payment fails and you do not purchase a ticket against the supporter ID number you enrolled into the scheme with, but are forwarded a ticket by another supporter, you will not receive a match credit for that ticket.  The match credit will remain with the person who forwarded you the ticket.  You will also be removed from the relevant Auto Cup Scheme.

If I am purchasing a ticket during a late availability sale for Premier League home games, how will I know if it has been returned by a Season Ticket Holder or Official Member? 

This will be marked on the Ticketing site when making your purchase.

If using ‘Choose Seats For Me’ please check prior to processing through your transaction that you have selected the correct type of ticket you require.

  • Season Ticket seats will be marked with a 'ST'.
  • Season Ticket Wheelchair Bays will be marked with a 'SWC'.
  • Season Ticket Wheelchair PA seats will be marked with a 'SPA’.

Any Season Ticket seats you have purchased will also be identified on your confirmation email.

Does my Friends/Family member need a Membership in order for me to forward my ticket to them?

Supporters do not require an Official Membership in order for a ticket to be forwarded to them, however they will need to download a General Admission NFC Pass once at the start of the season.

Please note, if the supporter who has been forwarded the ticket intends on using their ticket credit in future seasons, they will require an Official Membership*.

*No credit will be applied if the seat forwarded was originally a Season Ticket Holders seat.

Can I forward an adult ticket to a concession and vice versa?

We are currently not charging the difference in price for tickets that are forwarded to or from a concessionary ticket. During the season, there will be the introduction of a mechanism to facilitate this.

I have purchased more than one ticket in my transaction, can I forward my Friends/Family members seat to someone else on their behalf?

No, it will only be possible to forward your own tickets to your Friends/Family.

I have purchased more than one ticket in my transaction, can I return my Friend/Family members seat via the Ticket Exchange?

No, it will only be possible to return your own tickets via the Ticket Exchange.

Can I update my friends & family list during the season?

No, your friends and family list must have been updated by the 31 August 2023.  Amendments during the season are not permitted.

If I have bought a membership after 31 August 2023, can I link friends & family to my account?

Yes, you will be given a 2 week period from the date of your membership purchase to link Friends and Family to your account, after which no amendments can be made for the remainder of the season.

What if no one on my friends & family list can attend?

You can use the Clubs Ticket Exchange, and we will endeavour to sell the ticket for you. 

What is the cut off point for forwarding my ticket?

One hour before kick-off.

Is there a limit to how many home Premier League or Cup match tickets I can forward in a season?

No, there is no limit however one seat can only be forwarded up to a maximum of 3 times per game.

Is there a limit on the number of Friend/Family members I can be linked with for season 23/24?

No, there is no limit however you must ensure that you were linked by 31 August 2023.

Is there a limit on the number of times I can return my seat via the Ticket Exchange for season 23/24?

No, there is no limit.

What if I forward a ticket to someone and then they can’t attend?

The supporter can forward it back to you, or to another member of their Friends and Family. Please note, one seat can only be forwarded up to a maximum of 3 times per game.

Alternatively, they can return the seat to the Club via the Ticket Exchange, and we will endeavour to sell for them. 

Does ticket forwarding work the same for iPhone and Android?

Yes.

I am ambulant disabled; can I forward my ticket in an accessible area to someone on my friends and family?

Yes, however, you can only forward your ticket to a supporter with the same requirements as yourself i.e. if you are ambulant disabled, you can only forward to another ambulant disabled supporter.

I am a wheelchair user; can I forward my ticket to someone on my friends and family?

Yes, however, you can only forward your ticket to a supporter with the same requirements as yourself i.e. if you are a wheelchair user, you can only forward to another wheelchair user. 

I am a Member with 13+ games recorded, why can I only distribute tickets for 2 games in season 23/24?

We recognise the need to help as we bring in this new policy however, we also need to maintain the integrity of the overall ticket forwarding policy.

A game has been rearranged to mid-week at short notice; I can no longer attend the rescheduled game. Will I be penalised?

Should the situation arise where a game is moved from a weekend to mid-week within 28 days of the game being played, all supporters will be able to use the ticket distribution option for that game.

What is classed as a mid-week fixture?

Mid-week fixtures are classed as games played Monday - Friday

If I forward my ticket, am I then eligible to purchase a ticket in additional sales?

No, you will be unable to purchase another ticket.

I have tried to forward a ticket to a friend or family member, but the system won’t allow me to, why is this?

There are 3 reasons:

  • If the supporter you are trying to forward your ticket to already has a ticket for the match, they cannot be forwarded another one.
  • If the ticket has already been forwarded 3 times, it will not be available to forward on again, and you must use the Ticket Exchange if you are unable to attend the game.
  • If the supporter you are trying to forward your ticket to has not downloaded their Members NFC Pass or a General Admission NFC Pass to their smartphone.
