Why are the Club trialling stadium access card entry at away games?

The trial will contribute towards helping us improve ticket distribution. Activating cards for stadium access instead of issuing paper tickets will avoid tickets being held up or lost in the post, provide accurate attendance data and will also help to combat ticket touting.

Will this process be implemented for all away games?

We are working with other Premier League Clubs and hope to introduce the trial for other fixtures during this season. 

Who will be taking part in the trial?

Two hundred Season Ticket Holders / Members that have purchased a ticket for the game.

How are the supporters selected for the trial?

A random selection process will take place for all supporters that purchase a ticket. The two hundred selected will then take part in the trial. 

What is involved in the trial?

Supporters randomly selected will not receive a paper ticket for the game.  Their LFC Season Ticket / Member card will be activated for turnstile entry at Selhurst Park. 

When will I be notified if I have been selected for the trial?

Each supporter selected to take part in the trial will be contacted on Thursday 7 November by email and SMS (the email and SMS will be sent to details registered on the ticketing system) 

What do I do if I am selected for the trial, but a friend/family member is attending and doesn’t have my Season Ticket / Member card in their possession?

If you have been selected for the trial, you or your friend/family member must use your Season Ticket / Member card if you / they wish to attend.  

If I am selected to trial card access at Selhurst Park, what do I do if I forget my seat details?

You will be notified of your seat details:

  1. On the email confirmation when your ticket is purchased
  2. On the email you will receive on Thursday 7 November notifying you that you have been selected for the trial
  3. By SMS the day before the game (SMS will be sent to the mobile number registered on the ticketing system)

If you are unable to retrieve your seat details on match day, LFC stewards and ticketing staff will be available both inside and outside the stadium and will be able to provide you with your seat details.

If I am selected to trial card access at Selhurst Park, will I need to bring ID that corresponds with the Season Ticket/Member card used to purchase the ticket?

No, you will not need to produce ID when using your card to gain access to the stadium at Selhurst Park. However, this may become a requirement for future trials, once Fan Update is complete.

What do I do if my card doesn’t work at the turnstiles?

The process has been thoroughly tested, however in the event you’re unable to access using your card please approach an LFC steward who will be able to put you in touch with a member of the LFC ticketing team on site.
