There are now three possible opponents for Liverpool in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals.

Al Sadd SC’s elimination from the AFC Champions League last four on Tuesday night means the Qatari side will enter the Club World Cup in the first round as the host country’s representative.

The winners of the meeting between Al Sadd and Hienghène Sport on December 11 will progress to face Mexican outfit CF Monterrey in the second round three days later.

The victors of that tie will then take on the Reds on December 18.
