Joel Matip shortlisted for September's PFA PL Player of the Month
Joel Matip has been nominated for the PFA Premier League Player of the Month award for September.
The centre-half played all three of Liverpool's top-flight fixtures during the month as they beat Newcastle United, Chelsea and Sheffield United to maintain their 100 per cent start to the campaign.
Matip's fine performances in those matches have seen him shortlisted for the accolade alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal), Callum Wilson (Bournemouth), Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City) and Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez.
