James McConnell signs first professional contract with LFC
James McConnell has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool FC.
The 17-year-old joined the Reds from Sunderland as an U15 player.
An attacking midfielder, he made his first appearances for the U18s last season, scoring two goals in 11 games.
He remains a part of Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s U18s set-up this year and is already off the mark with a diving header against Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
