Liverpool U18s chalked up a second successive 5-0 win in pre-season as Huddersfield Town's U19s were beaten at the Academy on Friday.

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s side had already seen Oakley Cannonier go close and Tom Hill hit a post before they established a lead on the half-hour.

Harvey Blair netted the first of an eventual brace as he finished off a neat Reds move down the right flank from inside the box.

The hosts’ second came shortly after the hour mark and again it was Blair, whose driving run into the Huddersfield area was ended at the cost of a penalty, which he dispatched himself.

And a fine gloss was added to the scoreline as Liverpool struck three times more in the final 10 minutes.

Max Woltman was the creator of their third with a run along the left-hand side and set-up for Hill, whose effort defeated the goalkeeper’s grasp.

Sean Wilson made it four when his cross from the opposite side went straight into the net, and the scoring was wrapped up by debutant Melkamu Frauendorf.
