Liverpool's U18 squad recently welcomed Heart 4 More to the Academy for a cardiac health workshop in Kirkby.

The cardiac focused organisation delivers presentations to the Premier League, Professional Footballers Association and various educational institutions throughout the country.

Heart 4 More also runs community heart screening days as well as donating defibrillators to schools and sports clubs.

Barry Lewtas’ squad were educated on the importance of constant chest screenings by the founder member of the charity, ex footballer Tobi Alabi.

On the visit to the academy, Alabi said: "It was a privilege to be able to deliver one of our workshops to the lads at the academy to underline the importance of regular testing and the usage of defibrillators.

"I was forced to retire from football in 2013 after collapsing during a game before suffering another collapse a year later, which led to the initiation of the Heart 4 More charity so to be able to pass on my experience is extremely important."
