Liverpool are ready to pay £25million to seal the transfer of FC Cologne left-back Jonas Hector this summer.

The 26-year-old shone in the Bundesliga last season before becoming first choice left-back for Germany at Euro 2016, helping the team reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

Liverpool may be ready to pay big to bring Hector to Anfield, though Bild reports that Tottenham are also interested and that Barcelona have already tried a £15m bid for him.

Still, the Jurgen Klopp factor could prove useful for Liverpool, with the German tactician successfully raiding the Bundesliga for the likes of Loris Karius and Joel Matip in his short time on Merseyside.
