Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal in principle to seal the transfer of Anderlecht youngster Samuel Bastien.

The Reds look set to bring in the 19-year-old midfielder for a fee of around £4.6million, with his first move likely to be a loan away from the club.

Liverpool have used a similar strategy with young players in the past, and it seems sensible to allow Bastien to continue his development elsewhere before going into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team.

According to Irpinia News, the situation is still developing while Bastien is on holiday, but the finalisation of the transfer could be close.

Fiorentina had also shown an interest in the young Belgian, but it seems increasingly likely that England will be his next move.
