Schalke have received no offers for highly-rated forward Leroy Sane, the club has confirmed.

The attacking-midfielder has been linked with a move to Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks due to his recent performances.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Bundesliga this term and earned a call up to the German squad in November.

However, despite a number of reports suggesting Schalke have received offers for Sane, sporting director Horst Heldt has confirmed that's not the case.

"There is no offer for Sane… a deal would be in Schalke's hands," he told German broadcaster Sport1.

And the club have been similarly proactive in shutting down reports from Bild suggesting the player has a £28million release clause.

"Neither this winter nor in the summer will a release clause kick in for Leroy," the club revealed on Twitter.
