James Milner: We will stick together and bounce back
James Milner has vowed that Liverpool will react positively to Sunday’s heavy defeat to Aston Villa.
The champions’ 100 per cent winning start to the season was brought to an end as they were beaten 7-2 at Villa Park.
Next up is an away Merseyside derby versus Everton on October 17 - and Milner is certain that there will be a response from the Reds after the international break.
“Nowhere near the level needed yesterday,” the vice-captain posted on social media on Monday.
“We need to stand up, take everything on the chin, stick together and bounce back...and we will #ynwa.”
