Fabinho's experience of title success with AS Monaco tells the midfielder Liverpool must enjoy the race in the Premier League this season.

The Brazil international won Ligue 1 with his former club in 2016-17 and has become an increasingly influential figure in the Reds’ tilt at topping the table in England.

Liverpool’s response to successive 1-1 draws with Leicester City and West Ham United was an uplifting, dominant 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.

And Fabinho wants the team to retain that mood for the remainder of the campaign.

“I know it is really hard to win a league, especially the Premier League, but we have experienced players here at Liverpool,” said the No.3.

“We know we are [competing] at the top of the table and it is important to be there at this point in the league, but we cannot think just about the title every time because that can put extra pressure on us.

“I had a good season with Monaco, we scored a lot of goals and we had joy playing football – and we have to do it here as well. Enjoy the games and go on the pitch with happiness and go game by game.”
