Sadio Mane is fit for Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds’ No.10 overcame a bout of illness to train at Melwood on Tuesday, before taking his place among Jürgen Klopp’s 21-man travelling squad for Wednesday’s match at Parc des Princes.

“He will be fine. If he plays, we will see, but he is fine,” Klopp said, during his pre-match press conference.

Joe Gomez, who missed the weekend’s 3-0 win at Watford as a precautionary measure, is also available, with the defender telling the media in Paris: “It was just a small knock in training, it was nothing long-term. I’m fine, 100 per cent, no issues.”

However, Adam Lallana has not made the trip due to a minor muscle injury, while Divock Origi, Kamil Grabara (both illness) and Dominic Solanke (groin) have also remained on Merseyside.

Klopp’s PSG counterpart Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, has a full squad to choose from.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were absent for the French champions’ Ligue 1 victory over Toulouse on Saturday because of injuries sustained on international duty, but both forwards will return against the Reds.

“Neymar is 100 per cent and Mbappe as well,” said Tuchel. “They are fit, they trained today and yesterday, and they will line up tomorrow.”

Just a point separates the sides in Group C ahead of Wednesday’s meeting, with Liverpool sitting second and PSG in third.

Should Red Star Belgrade fail to beat Napoli in the pool’s other fixture, a win for Klopp’s team would secure their passage to the round of 16 with a game to spare.
