The 32-year-old midfielder will play his 150th match for the Reds if selected for the Group C clash at the Parc des Princes.

Liverpool could book their place in the knockout stage of the competition if they win in Paris and Red Star Belgrade fail to beat Napoli in Italy.

Home and away against French opponents the Reds have won 17, drawn three and lost nine of 29 meetings.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp consoles PSG forward Kylian Mbappe

Jürgen Klopp has won each of his last four games against French opposition. His Borussia Dortmund side beat Marseille home and away in 2013, while with Liverpool he triumphed against Bordeaux in 2015 and PSG earlier this season - both at Anfield.

Klopp has drawn 0-0 against PSG at the Parc des Princes with Borussia Dortmund - in the Europa League in 2010.

The Reds are two goals short of recording 350 in all games under Klopp.

Liverpool have found the net at least twice in 14 of their last 19 European games.

Roberto Firmino has played in every one of Liverpool's 32 European matches under Klopp.

Mohamed Salah and Firmino both have 13 goals for the club from 19 European Cup appearances. Only Steven Gerrard (30) and Ian Rush (14) have scored more.

The front three of Liverpool and PSG scored a combined total of 180 goals for their clubs last season - Liverpool 91 (Salah 44, Firmino 27, Sadio Mane 20) and PSG 89 (Edinson Cavani 40, Neymar 28, Kylian Mbappe 21).

They have already scored 57 between them during this campaign, so 237 in total - Liverpool 112, PSG 125.

Last season in the Champions League both teams broke the previous record for most goals scored in a group stage - Liverpool netted 23, with PSG hitting 25.

Georginio Wijnaldum could make the 150th appearance of his career with English clubs. The former Newcastle United midfielder has played 109 times for Liverpool.

The Reds return to the scene of their 1981 European Cup final victory over Real Madrid, when Alan Kennedy's late goal at the Parc des Princes saw Liverpool lift the trophy for the third time.
