Fabinho and Naby Keita have made a seamless start to life at Liverpool – with a little help from Daniel Sturridge.

The midfielders have bolstered Jürgen Klopp’s squad for the new season and began training when the players reconvened at the beginning of July.

Sturridge is back with the Reds, too, following a loan spell at West Bromwich Albion during the second half of last term and is positive about his new teammates and the coming campaign.

“I’m sat next to Keita in the changing room so we share a lot of jokes together. Fabinho is a really good guy too. Both are settling in very well and are really good additions to the squad,” said the No.15.

“We’re taking [pre-season] one step at a time and building a good foundation for the season ahead.

“We’re looking forward to what will hopefully be a successful one and everyone is excited about it, including myself.”
