The England U20 World Cup-winning squad, which included three Liverpool youngsters, were invited to Kensington Palace on Thursday to celebrate their summer achievement.

Ovie Ejaria, Sheyi Ojo and Dominic Solanke were part of the Young Lions team that triumphed at the FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea in June.

Solanke scored four times in the tournament for his country en route to a 1-0 win over Venezuela in the final and was awarded the Golden Ball as the best player.

The squad was hosted at Kensington Palace by the Duke of Cambridge – president of the Football Association – to acknowledge their efforts in lifting the trophy.
